Low quality overhead racks have no safety lip to prevent items from falling off the shelf. The wire decking is light weight and not bolted to the rack causing the platform to move
or sway when loaded.
Our overhead garage rack utilizes a cradle design that supports the
whole platform. The down rod comes off the one piece ceiling mount and passes under the platform for maximum support.
The
frame of our rack is welded and bolted for a
"fail proof" design that has no moveable parts.
Low quality racks use a pin and key hole design on their support frame and down strut. The danger in this design is the ablility of the frame rail to "pop out" of the key hole and cause
the frame to heave downward
"draining" the contents of the
overhead shelf onto the floor.
Our overhead storage racks
use the strongest "one piece" ceiling mount on the market today. It mounts securely to
the rafters and spreads the
load across the truss structure insuring a safe secure mounting. We use multiple bolts on the down rod supports and welds at the corner joints.
